All about me in 2013

In 2013 I want to learn about algebra and it’s fascinating problems. I also want to learn how to swim faster and better. 
   
I am excited about the new things that we are going to learn and the new events that are going to happen such as inter schools swimming, art and more.
I think the thing that is going to be challenging is that I just came back to school and I am starting to remember what I learned last year. I think the teachers are going to challenge me more too. 
 

I am looking forward to seeing the teachers doing something funny this year like singing, dancing or even racing each other.

Netbook Reflection 2012

In 2012 Room 9, 11 and 12 got the one and only net books.

The netbook to me is a very useful tool because it underlines my work with a red line when I spell a word wrong. It also blocks sites that are harmful like face book and It makes learning more fun. I could look around at other peoples work and blogs. The netbook makes it more easy to learn and understand my work.
The netbook is sometimes annoying when the internet is not on, that takes away some time from learning.
The thing I found interesting about the netbook is that I get to find out different things about the netbook and it can help me learn how to use computers and laptops.

Alex’s surprise
On a saturday afternoon Alex and his parents George and jackie went to the zoo.  
Alex is really excited to see the Giraffes that he wouldn’t stop blabbering about it. Then Alex decided to run to the Giraffes instead of waiting around looking at the other animals.

As he was running he tripped over a banana peel.

“Whoa!’’ Alex said in a exotic shock.  

“Oww’’ marked Alex as he was rubbing his head.
As Alex got up he saw that a giraffe is about to have a baby but the trouble is the Giraffe couldn’t have the baby.

“Oh no I better tell the zoo keeper!’’ claimed Alex.

Alex tried to get out but he couldn’t then he had quite a clever idea so Alex put the idea in his head and he quickly sprinted to the tallest giraffe. Alex jumped on the Giraffes back then he climbed up it’s neck and then he lunged towards the platform and he leaped onto the platform.

Alex runned to the reception and asked where is the nearest zoo keeper.

“over their” said the receptionist.

“Thank you” said Alex.

So Alex quickly runned to the zoo keeper and told him what was happening
about the giraffe.

So the zookeeper checked the giraffe to see if the giraffe was alright and then the zookeeper told Alex that everything was alright. Alex was glad that the giraffe was ok.Then the zookeeper thanked Alex and gave him a reward.

“Thank you” Alex said.

Then Alex went to his parents and told them everything that happened on their way home.

Always be generous.

Harry, Mea, Peter and Sophie are in class analysing some maths, all of a sudden the bell rang for lunch time. They sprinted to the field to play some touch.

As they were playing touch Harry kicked the ball to Mea. But then he accidently kicked the ball too strong that it whirred past Mea and it zoomed into Peter's face. Peter’s nose began to bleed like custard coming out of a pie.

Peter was so furious, that he ran as fast as a cheetah and he chased Harry then he leaped like a frog onto Harry and started tackling him. Mea and Sophie tried to stop them but it was no use.

But then Harry told Peter that it was an accident and apologised. Peter thought for a minute and he forgave Harry and said, “it’s ok i’m sorry too”, “friends?” said Harry, “friends” said Peter with agreement. They both gave each other a hug. But then Harry said, “is your nose alright?”


No matter what happens forgiveness is always the right thing.

The Massive fall

The 14/10/12 was the day that I, Tony Dixon made the big jump from space. Well everyone calls me Fearless Tony.
 
I am an exotic dare devil who will do almost anything. I just can’t believe what I have accomplished so far in my life.

When I made it into space I was feeling quite nervous and I didn’t know if I should do it or not. But I knew that I had to do it because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

During the mission I will get told by the mission control room what to do and when to jump. They also designed a suit for me so I will not get hurt while i’m falling.

“Are you ready?”, request the Mission control room.

“Yes”, I replied.  

“Ok jump!”,  replied the Mission control room.     
As I jumped falling deeper and deeper I noticed that the parachute wouldn’t open.

“Oh no!”, I said.
I was shocked, I was trying harder and harder to open it. I thought that it would be the end for me,  but then I tugged the rip cord one more time and the parachute opened.

I can’t believe I did it!

As I landed on the ground I looked around and I saw this sign which said, New Zealand.  

“Mission accomplished”, said the mission control room.

I was relieved.

No matter what, always give things a go.

Dear mum

Thank you for paying for my netbook I was really excited to get it now that I got my netbook it makes learning more fun and I will be more interested aswell.

I am more interactive with maths like division, subtraction and multiplication because it seems easier with the netbook.

 My writing is getting better because the netbook will always put a line under my writing if I spell something wrong.

And my reading is better now cause I can read online and I can listen to the netbook read to me .

Thank you mum for giving me this opportunity now my learning has been upgraded.
